Privacy Policy — REIceipt AI
Last updated: July 14, 2026
REIceipt AI (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a mobile app published by Wallace Technology LLC (available on Android, with an iPhone and iPad version coming). It helps rental-property owners capture receipts, log vehicle mileage, and track short-term-rental participation hours for tax record-keeping. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
What data the app handles, and where it goes
Receipt images and the details read from them. When you photograph a receipt, the image is sent over an encrypted connection through our secure proxy to a third-party AI service (Anthropic) for the sole purpose of reading the text (store, date, amount, category). We do not use your receipts to train any model, and the image is not retained by us after processing. The receipt image and extracted details are stored on your device and, if you connect Google Drive, in your own Drive.
Financial information. The amounts, vendors, and categories you record (from receipts or entered manually) are financial record-keeping data. They are stored on your device and in your own Google Drive. We do not transmit them to us, sell them, or share them.
Location (only when you tap Use my current location). The app no longer records trips using GPS, and it never accesses your location in the background. The only time the app reads your device location is when you tap the Use my current location button while adding a mileage trip, to fill in that trip’s start or end point. That single reading is turned into a short street label entirely on your device (using your device’s built-in geocoder) and is not sent to any third party. Your location is read only when you tap that button, never in the background, and is never sold or shared for advertising. When you type or save an address for a trip, that address text is sent to the mapping services named under Third-party services below to look up coordinates and driving distance. You can also enter mileage manually without using location at all.
Photos. The app accesses photos only for the receipt images you capture or select. It does not browse or upload your photo library.
Anonymous identifiers. The app generates a random install identifier and uses an anonymous customer ID through our subscription provider (RevenueCat). These are not linked to your name or email. The app does not use an advertising ID.
Crash logs and diagnostics. If a crash or error occurs, basic technical diagnostic information (error details, device model, app version) is sent to our own error-reporting endpoint so we can fix problems. This data is not sold or shared with advertisers.
Subscriptions. Purchases and the annual subscription are processed by the app store you downloaded from (Google Play on Android, or Apple on iPhone and iPad) and are managed through RevenueCat. We never receive or store your payment card details; the app store handles billing, renewals, and refunds.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not display ads, use an advertising SDK, embed tracking pixels, or use data brokers. Our Google Drive access is limited to the drive.file scope, which means the app can only see and manage the files it creates in your Drive — it cannot read the rest of your Drive, and we do not receive your Google account email or profile through it.
Third-party services we rely on
To provide the app’s features we use: a secure AI text-extraction service (Anthropic) for reading receipts; Google Drive for storing your files in your own account; Google Play (Android), Apple (the App Store, for the coming iPhone and iPad version), and RevenueCat for subscriptions; the mapping services Mapbox, OpenStreetMap (Nominatim), and OSRM for address lookup and mileage distance (which receive only the address text you enter); and our own error-reporting endpoint for crash diagnostics. Each receives only the data needed for its function, as described above.
How long data is kept, and how to delete it
Your records stay on your device and in your Google Drive until you delete them. You can delete individual receipts, trips, or hour entries in the app, use the in-app cleanup tools to remove data in bulk, disconnect Google Drive at any time, and uninstall the app to remove local data. To request deletion of any diagnostic data associated with your install identifier, email us at the address below and we will process the request.
Security
All network connections use HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens for Google Drive are kept in the device’s secure storage. Local backups of app data are disabled.
Children
REIceipt AI is intended for adults managing rental property and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
